This scene takes place on the Millennium Falcon directly after the Kiss. Or around the same place in the Script. HS - That bit of the Ship could've been fixed later, Chewy is better at that sort of stuff. LO - I would like to do something around here, I feel you're unfair sometimes. HS - Oh, and I'm supposed to do what you say you're Beautifulness. LO - Please, I only want to Help you. HS - Okay ( moving towards the co-pilot seat ) like I said, Chewy is better at the maintenance and the Firepower; so on. Here we have something where your dainty hands can be quite deft. ( motioning a the co-pilot seat ) LO - I've not done much of this. HS - Only one has ever run my co-pilot system, the one I built and put in; you can be the second. LO - Sit here then? HS - If you wouldn't mind, wonderfulness. Before that though this panel on the right is there just to be accessed and allow special Turbo features, extra weapons and Shields , just press this one here. LO - ( pointing ) This one? HS - Yeah, don't do it now, I'll let you know when. Take your seat. LO - The auto-adjust? HS - Just under the right hand side. LO - Arr, ( moving ) I like that. HS - Right, well the action is taking place in front of you. If it isn't in your direct view it's not worth looking at. LO – Hmm. HS - See this little Joystick here? Keep the little spaceship displayed on this screen here in the middle by moving this. LO - Nothing displayed at the moment. HS - I'll run a simulation in a minute. This flashing bank of lights are fairly important, I'll come to them a bit later, but if the spaceship isn't on the screen, the arrow points to where it can be found, move the twizzly stick in the direction of the arrow and when it settles in the square bracket, keep it there. Don't move your hand further away than the hand-rest just back here where you can see all these other switches just to the right. LO - ( Looking at him ) Not too difficult so far. HS - Confidence is Okay, but over confidence is always the enemy of precision and the more precise the more likely we are to live. LO - I guess this one is about Hyperspace. HS - Sure is. Can I continue in my prepared order. LO - Of course, I'm sorry. HS - With the other Extremity ....... LO - Err, I really don't like that, could you rephrase not only for me, but the rest of the caring Universe. HS - I'm not making for a Romance at the moment, put your left hand here away from these buttons and lights. When one of the lights flashes, push the button under it. If it comes on and then goes off a bit later, just leave it. When this keeps happening press the strip at the top of the button and adjust the sensitivity using the slider here. It'll revert to the preset in a few minutes and if the light comes on again, press the button underneath it, just once and nice 'n lightly. LO - I think I've understood that. HS – When the light stays on after that and doesn’t go off, that shouldn’t happen and it’s something on my Panel. Just make a primeval guttural noise or high-pitched squeaky, sqwarky noise to let me know about it. LO – Can’t I say, ‘The light has stayed on.’ instead? HS – Not looking for an exposition, save time and just scream, ‘Take me now!’ LO – Now look!! HS – Eyes on the panel, everything else might be secondary. LO – Hmphh. HS - Well, that's it for the moment. ( leaving the Cockpit ) LO - The simulation .....? HS - I'll run it in a couple of hours when some of this Blaster is brought back. See what you can make of the NavCom panel. LO - ( moves to stand by the panel ) I know what quite a lot of this does. ( HS is not there and is not listening ) A bit later after some practical use of all this learning and tuition. LO I would like to learn some more, could you tell me what I’ve been doing here. HS Alright, let me show you this bank of switches here on your right hand. LO Hmm. HS The few straggly arranged nearest are here pretty much as dummies. If you catch or glance touch near these you won’t have affected anything, just don’t let yourself stray that far. LO Sensible arrangement. HS Above them we have 4 rows of 9. Each of them are in the neutral position at the moment and some of them click and maintain up or away from you or down and towards. Up is engage, attach and enable, Down, that’s towards you, is disengage, detach and disable. LO Doesn’t say that anywhere. HS With good reason, take this second bank down, all these are the Cargo bay. The preset clicks into position on each one and then enabled on one of my panels. The top row is fuel; we’ve to be especially careful because with all these enabled I can jettison our Fuel, Grav, that’s gravity systems, and we might be left floating in space with no propulsion. LO That is a bit dangerous. HS Row 3 and 4 are a bit of a higgledy piggledy mess I haven’t put an order to, but these 5 can run a temporary cloak to different bits of the ship and these 2 you could consider as part of a self-destruct and this is the escape pod enable. LO Don’t want them then. HS No. LO Hand on the rest. HS Just so you’re absoluteliness. LO Don’t push it. HS Well how about not using this set of switches? LO I won’t. HS All the settings have to agree with my panes down here on my left that springs out before I flip the Master switch to activate. LO You’re not going to let me get away with anything are you. HS Not exactly. LO The little Space Ship? HS When I fly manually, it’s overridden all the time, but when I set way-points it’ll stray for sure without this correction. It’s also a twizzle stick. LO a ha. ( making some sort of an affirmation noise ) HS Twizzle right and this gives a credit and left for deficit. The scale is about a five so I might say ‘Credit Four’ and when you twizzle It’ll give me the capacity for an extra boost and any deficit will do the opposite. The twizzle is not active at the moment as I have all this here on the handle bars. LO I get the idea though. HS When the image is in the Bracket, all my way-points will be met, whatever the speed. LO If I knew what a way-point might be, that could be a help. HS ( looking ) LO Okay, I know what that might be. HS The button press with the lights adjusts for Fuel supply and that makes sure I get the thrust where it needs to be. Bit of an overkill having that many, but I have been let down too many times with previous arrangements. The sudden thrust increase needs some adjustment at the Back end from the store; the automated system takes good care most of the time. LO Less worrying then, no weapon controls? HS We are a genuine Cargo service, no real need for anything of its’ like most of the time; or hasn’t been ‘til now. LO We were deceived. HS It’s ongoing. LO Yes.
